The truth about Candace
I fly often to Italy, where my cousins find my adventures ridiculous. Like the time I went mountain climbing in Abruzzo and ...  Born on the Idaho-Washington border in the U.S. I've been everywhere from Bora Bora, Jordan and Kenya to, well, you name it.

My adventure tales appear in Travelers Tales and Seal Press anthologies, plus the upcoming Rome and Central Italy Adventure Guide. I've interviewed famous foodies from Ruth Reichl and Peter Mayle to the Barefoot Contessa. I'm the former editor/producer of the glorious Underwire, a MSN Website for women that Newsweek called "cheeky, nicely written, fun." The New York Times praised it for "serious sisterhood."

My son, Jacob, shot the photo (above) of me last spring in Rome. We indulged in flattened artichokes, fried zucchini blossoms and spaghetti caccio e pepe with my Italian cousin Marina. We all agree pasta is the perfect dish. Mocha gelato goes down easy. Nutella tastes good with everything.
